If you’re at this site and wondering what is happening, it is because all my blogs (yes all 5) have once again been hacked
and are lost in cyberspace i.e. gone. I had to make some decisions and the decision was to start fresh and just move on. Inasmuch as I had been hacked before, it is too time-consuming and difficult to recreate everything, so I made a difficult decision to just go forward.
Lake Oswego Real Estate Welcome Back!
I have been blogging since May 1, 2008 and there have been difficult hurdles along the way but a lot has been learned as well. As always, I will provide Lake Oswego real estate information, stats, stories of interest, etc. here on this local Lake Oswego blog.
Suggestions
Since I have the opportunity to start fresh, if there is anything you’d like to see here, please know I am always open to suggestions.
Lake Oswego Real Estate
Our local real estate market is changing and it is looking like 2006 all over again. Throughout the Portland Metro area we saw a big swing favoring sellers back in November 2012 when we first saw multiple offers and sales prices over the asking price.
It is also an amazing Lake Oswego real estate market. Prices are rebounding more sharply than any of the pundits had predicted and inventory in Lake Oswego in February 2013 (our latest stats) was at 5.84 months. Interest rates are still great, and this is a great time to buy ~ even with the appreciation of the past 12 months. In addition, Lake Oswego had a 2.2% increase in the price of an average home in 2012, and 20% of those sales were a distressed owner. So far in 2013, there’s been an 11% increase for an average home, with only 9% distressed sales, for single family houses.
It is also a great time to sell. CoreLogic reports that foreclosures are at their lowest level since 2007. 54K homes were lost to foreclosure February ’13, a 7% decline from January. Many sellers are no longer underwater.
If you haven’t had your property evaluated as to its value in awhile, give me a call at 503-804-96854. It might be time to consider all your options…now maybe the time for you to sell if you’ve been thinking about it.
